This is here to get you set up to access the Minecraft server. It presumes you have got Minecraft already installed and working with the required version. It should be straight forward. Though it is only required for the Voice plugin at the moment, you need to follow these instructions even if you don’t plan to use it.
- Install Fabric and follow instructions to install it.
- You then need to download two mods, whether you plan to use them or not.
- Fabric API – Make sure to download the file that matches the version of Minecraft the server is using.
- Simple Voice Chat – Make sure to download the file tagged [FABRIC] that matches the version of Minecraft the server is using.
- NoChatReports – Disable secure chats and chat reporting. Will block any error messages you may see from the server.
- Copy these two files into the following directory. The “mods” directory may not exist, so you may need to create it.
- Windows: %APPDATA%\.minecraft
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
- Linux: ~/.minecraft
- Start up the Minecraft Launcher. You will need to select the item marked “fabric-launcher-” then followed by the version number. Click on Play
- Then go to “Multiplayer.” You will need to “Add server” the first time. Ask for the server name. You will need to let Al know your in game name too.
